FG Threatens Legal Action Against Daily Trust Over LGBTQ Report

The Federal Government has vowed to take legal action against Daily Trust Newspapers over an alleged misleading publication on LGBTQ. According to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the newspaper falsely reported that the government had signed an agreement to legitimize LGBTQ in the country.

Government Alleges Calculated Attempt to Incite Unrest

At an emergency media briefing in Abuja on Saturday, Idris accused Daily Trust of publishing a series of falsehoods aimed at sparking revolution and unrest in the country. The government has promised to deploy all legal means to seek redress against the newspaper.
