In a remarkable display of academic excellence, 21-year-old Cherish Daniel Markson, from Bayelsa State, has made Nigeria proud by emerging as the best Law graduate at the prestigious University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.

Cherish, daughter of former Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Bayelsa State, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, achieved a remarkable feat by scoring the highest mark in the three-year BA (Hons) degree in Law with Social Sciences, earning her a First Prize award.

The University of Warwick, in a congratulatory letter, praised Cherish for her outstanding performance, stating that she achieved a Second Class; Higher Division Degree with an overall average of 67.3%, the highest mark among all students on this demanding course.

This achievement comes as no surprise, as Cherish has consistently demonstrated academic excellence. Three years ago, as a student at Bridge House College, Lagos, she received the Top in World Award in Law and High Achievement in Sociology from Cambridge International.

Cherish's impressive academic record includes all A-stars (A*) in nine IGCSE subjects, showcasing her intellectual prowess. Her commitment and intellect have earned her recognition, with the University of Warwick predicting a bright future for her.

A formal reception will be held in her honor after the graduation ceremony on July 19, a testament to her hard work and dedication. Cherish's achievement serves as an inspiration to young Nigerians, demonstrating that with determination and passion, they can excel on the global stage.
