Apapa Customs Command Sets New Revenue Record

The Apapa Customs Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has achieved remarkable success under Comptroller Babatunde Olomu's leadership.
Impressive Revenue Collection
From January to October 2024, the Command generated N1.87 trillion, a 101% increase from the same period in 2023, despite a decline in trade volume.
Record-Breaking Month
October 2024 saw the highest monthly revenue collection in Apapa's history, reaching N264.5 billion.
Trade Facilitation
The Command is modernizing systems and implementing digital solutions to ease business for port users.
Key Milestones
- First shipment of cargo to Kenya under the AfCFTA regime
- Operating on weekends for expedited cargo clearance
Partnership and Compliance
Olomu expressed gratitude to government and private sector partners, emphasizing compliance as the Command's priority.
"Every consignment will be thoroughly examined, using scanners and physical means when necessary."
The Command maintains a zero-tolerance stance against unethical practices.
