CONMMEP Elects New Executive Team, Udo Onyeka Takes the Helm

In a milestone event, the Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners (CONMMEP) has elected a new executive team to lead the organization. Comrade Udo Onyeka, Publisher of News Business, emerged victorious in a keenly contested election, securing the presidency.

Udo Onyeka, who previously served as Vice President, succeeds Alhaji Tunde Umar-Daniah, who led the organization for three years. The new executive team comprises:

  1. Vice President: Mr. Femi Okonofua
  2. General Secretary: Mr. Bolaji Israel
  3. Assistant Secretary: LOD Onyeji
  4. Treasurer: Ms. Adeola Oluwole
  5. Financial Secretary: Mr. Isaac Ajiboye
  6. Public Relations Officer (PRO): Mcanthony Onuoha
  7. Welfare Officer: Ms. Ilebani Titilayo
  8. Provost: Izuchukwu Ahuchaogu

In his acceptance speech, Udo Onyeka pledged to work collaboratively with all members to propel CONMMEP to greater heights. He emphasized the importance of productivity, professionalism, and transparency, assuring members that his administration would prioritize accountability and welfare.

Outgoing President Alhaji Tunde Umar-Daniah commended members for their peaceful conduct during the election and urged the new executive to maintain unity and harmony within the organization.
