First Lady Declares Women's African Club Volleyball Championship Open

The First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu declared the 2025 Women's African Club Volleyball Championship open, praising the tournament for showcasing African women's strength, determination, and talent in sports. 

The championship, held at the Moshood Abiola International Stadium in Abuja, features top clubs from across the continent.

The opening match of the event involved the Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball Team which defeated their Cameroonian counterparts in the opening match, winning in straight sets. 

Comptroller-General Adewale Adeniyi emphasized the importance of sports in fostering bilateral relationships and promoting national unity. 

The championship is expected to conclude on April 14, 2025.
