National Development Hall of Fame to Honor Distinguished Nigerians

The National Development Merit Award ceremony is set to induct several notable Nigerians into the prestigious National Development Hall of Fame. The ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Nigeria National Merit Award Secretariat in Abuja, will honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the country's development.

*Awardees*

The inductees include:

- Maj. Gen. Buba Marwa, Chairman/CEO of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)

- Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State

- Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, Nigeria Premier Football League Board Chairman

- Bash Ali, OON

- Pastor Dr. Victoria Ben Shimfe

- Captain Raymond Bitanis (Rtd.)

- Chief Dr. Matthias Okuma

- Dr. Rafiu Oladipo, President of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control

The Director of Honours, High Chief Darlinghtyn Momoh Umoru, stated that the awardees were selected based on their contributions to various aspects of human endeavors, including socio-economic, security, political, and religious spheres. The ceremony aims to promote merit and development, and the honours will be awarded annually in Nigeria.
