New Leadership at PTML Command
By Lod Onyeji
Comptroller Joe Anani has assumed duty as the new Customs Area Controller for Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command, promising to sustain the command's records of trade facilitation and anti-smuggling efforts.
Building on Success
Anani commended his predecessor, Assistant Comptroller General Tenny Mankini Daniyan, for the successes recorded during his tenure, including the rollout of the Unified Customs Management System, known as B'Odogwu. He pledged to build on these achievements and improve trade facilitation, revenue collection, and security.
Call for Collaboration
The new CAC called on all stakeholders, including customs officers, sister government agencies, and private sector stakeholders, to join hands with him in sustaining PTML's reputation as a model port of excellence. He emphasized the importance of compliance with regulations, noting that it would lead to faster cargo clearance, reduced delays, and increased efficiency.
Zero Tolerance for Smuggling
Anani assured stakeholders that he would strictly enforce the Comptroller General's zero-tolerance policy for smuggling. He also promised to be accessible to all stakeholders, encouraging them to interact with him directly or virtually.
