Customs Area Controller Strengthens Partnership with British American Tobacco Nigeria

Comptroller Gambo Aliyu, in charge of the Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has commended British American Tobacco Nigeria (BATN) for its long-standing partnership with the NCS and its adherence to existing trade regulations. The commendation was made during a familiarization visit to BATN's facility on October 15, 2025.

Mutual Benefits: Comptroller Aliyu praised BATN's operational standards and significant contributions to the tobacco manufacturing sector in Nigeria and beyond. He highlighted the socio-economic impact of BATN's activities, including national revenue generation, job creation, and industrial development. The CAC emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation between the NCS and BATN to advance mutual goals.

Commitment to Collaboration: BATN's Director of Operations, Hasnain Ishtiaq, expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the NCS for facilitating legitimate trade and supporting local industries. He assured the NCS of BATN's continued commitment to regulatory compliance and collaboration.
