Empowering Women, Enabling Trade: B'Odogwu Technology Shines at Maritime Seminar

Hynek Media and Media Anti-Corruption Initiatives are set to host a landmark seminar on November 4th, 2025, at Rockview Hotel, Apapa, Lagos, spotlighting the transformative role of B'Odogwu technology and women in Nigeria's maritime sector. The event will explore the impact of the B'Odogwu platform on trade facilitation and honor the contributions of women in this traditionally male-dominated industry.


Under the theme "The Impact of the B'Odogwu Digital Platform on Trade Facilitation & Women's Contributions to the Maritime Sector," the seminar will bring together key stakeholders, policymakers, and industry leaders. Prominent women in maritime, including Dr. Vikky Haastrup, Chief (Mrs.) Benaldine Eloka, Hajia Bola Muse, and Comptroller (Mrs) Joy Edelduok, will address the evolving role of women in maritime leadership and their contributions to industry growth.


Customs officials and freight experts will dissect the success of the indigenous B'Odogwu Platform, a cornerstone of Nigeria's trade facilitation strategy. Speakers include Compt. Frank Onyeka, Compt. Joe Anani, High Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, and Dr. Segun Musa.

The event promises to be a pivotal moment in advancing gender inclusion and digital innovation in Nigeria's maritime landscape, chaired by Mrs. Rollens Macfoy, President, Women in Maritime Africa, with Comptroller General of Customs Adewale Adeniyi MFR as Chief Guest of Honour.
