NIMASA Restructures Management Team to Enhance Operational Performance

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has undertaken a strategic reshuffling of its management team, aimed at improving efficiency, strengthening service delivery, and advancing the agency's core mandate.

New Appointments: The Director-General of NIMASA, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, à the appointments, which include:

- Hajia Moji Jimoh as Director, Administration and Human Resources

- Aishatu Jidda as Director, Planning, Research and Data Management Services

- Barr. Heaky Dimowo as Director, Legal Services/Board Secretary

- Isichei Osamgbi as Director, SERVICOM

- Mrs. Olubusola Obasanjo-Akande as Director, Western Zone

- Engr. Christopher Amakulo as Director, Special Duties

- Ms. Gloria Anyasodo as Director, Cabotage Services

- Salihu Abdullahi Yelwa as Director, Shipping Development

- Mrs. Nneka Obianyor as Director, Reforms Coordination and Blue Economy

- Umar Ibrahim Sidi as Director, Maritime Labour Services

- Dr. Oma Ofodile as Director, Marine Environment Management

- Mr. Buba Umar as Director, Abuja Zonal Office

- Ahmed Shittien as Special Adviser Technical to the DG

Objectives: The restructuring aims to strengthen inter-departmental collaboration, inject new energy into the system, and drive sustainable maritime development in Nigeria. Dr. Mobereola urged the redeployed Directors to work collectively towards achieving the Agency's strategic objectives.

A total of 56 management staff were affected in the exercise, which reflects the agency's commitment to rejigging operations and fostering synergy among departments.
