Maritime Amazons to Shape Nigeria's Maritime Future at B'Odogwu Seminar

A landmark seminar on the B'Odogwu digital platform and women's role in the maritime sector is set to bring together top female executives, trade experts, and industry leaders at Rockview Hotel, Apapa, Lagos. The event, scheduled for November 4, 2025, will explore the impact of digital innovation on trade facilitation and women's contributions to the maritime sector.
Organized by Hynek Media and Media Anti-Corruption Initiative Team, the seminar aims to highlight the transformative power of digital innovation and women's leadership in Nigeria's maritime value chain. A distinguished lineup of female industry leaders will share insights on innovation, policy reform, and inclusion in a traditionally male-dominated sector.
The B'Odogwu digital platform, a homegrown innovation, has been revolutionizing trade documentation, cargo processing, and compliance efficiency within Nigeria's ports. The seminar will feature in-depth discussions on its impact and potential for future growth.
Keynote speakers include Mrs. Rollens Macfoy, President, Women in Maritime Africa (WIMAfrica); Princess Chi Eze, Vice President (Seaports), NAGAFF; and Comptroller Joy Edelduok, Customs Area Controller, KLT Command. The seminar is expected to be a defining moment for gender inclusion and digital transformation in Nigeria's maritime ecosystem.
The event is chaired by Prince Olayiwola Shittu, JP, Chairman, Skelas Group, with Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, Founder of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) and NAGAFF, serving as Father of the Day. The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Dr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, will attend as Chief Guest of Honour.
