Adewale Adeniyi, Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), was honored with the Outstanding Revenue Collection Award at the 2025 Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) held in Abuja. The award, presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s representative, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, recognized Adeniyi’s exceptional leadership in boosting revenue, enhancing border security, and restoring public trust in customs administration.

Akume lauded Adeniyi’s “discipline, transparency, and professionalism,” noting that NCS surpassed targets and tightened processes under his stewardship. “This is a clear reflection of the public service Nigeria needs,” he said, emphasizing NEAPS’ goal to foster a culture of recognition.

In his remarks, Adeniyi dedicated the award to NCS officers, stating it fuels their mission to improve revenue collection, border security, and trade facilitation. “This recognition challenges us to work even harder, with integrity and excellence,” he said.

The event, part of NEAPS’ second edition by The Best Strategic Media and the Office of the SGF, drew top officials, including governors and heads of agencies.
