Extending a Helping Hand: COWA Oyo/Osun Chapter Reaches Out to Vulnerable Groups

In a heartwarming display of compassion and solidarity, the Customs Officers' Wives Association (COWA), Oyo/Osun Chapter, has demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian service through a series of outreach visits to vulnerable children and widows in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Led by Chairperson Omowunmi Adewole, the Association visited the Ibadan Motherless Babies Home and the House of Providence Special School for Children with Intellectual Disability, where members presented gift items and interacted with the children. Adewole emphasized that every child deserves love, care, and inclusion, and that COWA remains guided by principles of discipline, respect, and selfless service to humanity.
The Association also extended support to widows of Customs officers, presenting them with essential items and reaffirming COWA's commitment to their well-being. Adewole commended the caregivers and management of the visited institutions for their dedication, describing their work as impactful and deserving of recognition.
The outreach visits were marked by goodwill messages and meaningful interactions with beneficiaries, underscoring COWA's resolve to continue making meaningful contributions to society. As Adewole noted, "even small acts of kindness can create lasting hope and positive change." The Association's efforts exemplify the power of compassion and community in driving social impact.
